| A comprehensive range of upright single
column manometers manufactured from clear, stable and tough acrylic
block. Precision machined reservoirs and indicating columns ensure
high accuracy. All manometers have overpressure chambers and check
valves to inhibit fluid loss. Surface mounting and portable versions
have trap tubes which allows the instrument to be inverted without
spillage of the indicating fluid. |
| Zeroing is easy using the sliding scale.
Direct reading scales take into account changes in reservoir fluid
level without the need for further adjustment. All instruments are
suitable for the measurement of pressure, vacuum or differential pressure
of air or gas. To measure liquid pressures, integral vent valves are
incorporated |
| Surface mounting and portable manometers
have side connections, panel manometers have rear connections. |
| In addition to the standard instruments
listed overleaf, we produce special units to solve specific problems.
For manometers used in conjunction with D.P devices, direct reading
flow scales can be supplied. A range of accessories including magnifying
cursors, valve manifolds, stands, mounting boards and carrying cases
are available. |
| Traceable certification to national standards
via NAMAS calibrated master manometers can be supplied. |
| GENERAL INFORMATION |
To order please state:
|
| LIQUID pressure and differentials are
measured by versions M/WF with integral vent valves to ensure an interface
between the indicating liquid (mercury or S.G.1.88) and the liquid
medium. Special scales give true readings taking into account the
weight of medium on top of the indicating liquid. This reduces the
scale range of mercury filled manometers by 0.93 and S.G. 1.88 by
half approximately. For specially designed water flow gauges see Data
Sheets 5000 and 6010. |

| MANOMETERS are fitted as standard with
nozzles for 6mm (1/4") bore flexible tubing. |
| CONNECTORS TO ORDER Nozzle for 5mm
or 8mm bore flexible tubing. Compression in plastic, brass or stainless
steel for 5mm, 6mm or 8mm old rigid or semi-flexible tube. |
| HIGH PRESSURE TYPES HP are tested to
50 bar fitted as standard with metal compression connectors for
6mm
O.D. tube. Isolating/equalising valve manifold is strongly recommended. |
| VERY HIGH PRESSURE TYPES VHP tested to
100 bar Normally supplied as assembly with stainless steel valve manifold. |
| INDICATING LIQUIDS |
- RED OIL free flowing paraffin based non-freezing, usable -5°
to 40°C.
- BLUE WATER distilled with additives to improve flow.
- INERT S.G. 1.88 very free flowing but large change in density
with temperature. Usable -20° to 40°C.
- MERCURY triple distilled. Instruments have microporous discs
and (gas pressure versions) filter discs to prevent spillage,
reduce surge and virtually eliminate the escape of mercury.
